The plain 5 Star is the bat with no model name on it — just the grade and the three wickets, which for a lot of players is the point.

The Magnum was the first large-profile bat anyone made, and Botham took it through the 1981 Ashes — 149 not out at Headingley, 118 at Old Trafford. Viv Richards made a then-record 189 not out in an ODI with the same model.
